FAMILY TRAVEL
World Expeditions’ program of family trips was introduced in 2000, in response to the growing demand for families to travel in the company of like minded families. Several of our staff regularly travel with their children in Nepal, Africa and other adventure destinations and have found this to be a highly rewarding experience. We have also arranged a number of private family groups with great success. Our trips by their very nature are educational and inspirational for children and adults alike. The company of our crew adds to the experience as you will observe the Africans love of children and their willingness to teach their songs and language as they travel through Masai lands.
Drawing on our 29 years of experience in organising adventure holidays, World Expeditions can offer a safe environment whilst on safari as we are self-sufficient. As with all of our programs, safety and hygiene are our first priority. All food whilst on safari is hygienically prepared and on our family trips the food is tailored to younger members. To join a family adventure, your child (or children) should be enthusiastic in the outdoors, be physically fit and have a curious and active mind. The minimum age for this trip is six.
ENVIRONMENTAL CONSIDERATIONS FOR ALL TOURS
The environments we are travelling through are extremely fragile and it is our responsibility as visitors to minimise the impact of our presence.
It has always been our motto that "we take only photographs and leave only footprints"; and we therefore ask that all participants thoughtfully dispose of wrappers and toilet paper by burying or burning or placing in the proper receptacle. It is also a good idea during the day to carry a small plastic bag in which to store any refuse, sweet wrappers, tissues etc., to be disposed of appropriately when a receptacle is available.
In September 2001, we were the proud recipients of the Australian National Travel Industry's Environmental Achievement award for our Responsible Travel Guidebook. This detailed guide to responsible & sustainable travel is provided to all World Expeditions clients before they travel. Please ask your consultant if you have not received your copy of our award winning book. Alternatively, you may like to download a copy from our website.
Important Note:
These trip notes represent the most current information available for this itinerary, and supersede any information detailed in the current brochure, including but not limited to the itinerary and price. In remote and developing countries do not expect standards you are used to at home. Remote areas are sometimes unpredictable and itineraries may be altered. To get the most out of your adventure it is important that you are flexible, positive and eager to take on all the challenges that arise.
